Bob Richardson has practiced law for over 25 years. Bob is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a major in Political Science after attending the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at the University of Madrid, Spain. He attended law school at the University of Texas at Austin.

He is a former newscaster for Lyndon Johnson’s family television station KTBC-TV. Later as a prosecutor he won 95% of his jury trials. As a Republican State Representative he amended the Texas Constitution to include a Crime Victim’s Bill of Rights.

Bob has been a member of or contributor to nearly 40 civic and community organizations. These include: AARP, the Rotary Club of Austin (Paul Harris Fellow), the University of Texas Longhorn Foundation, Feed the Children, Blue Santa (Austin Police), various neighborhood associations, Austin Metropolitan Ministries, Young Men’s Christian Association (member “Benefactor of Youth” 1998 and Gold Club Member 1998), Columbus Baptist Church, St. David’s Episcopal Church, Salvation Army, SafePlace (spousal abuse assistance), Austin Film Society, the Austin Humane Society (member of Advisory Board), CARE, American Red Cross.

Bob is also a member of numerous law organizations, including the Association of Trial Lawyers of American, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association, State Bar of Texas, Travis County Bar Association, the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR) (National Board Member), the Fifth Circuit Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (President and co-founder), and the State Bar College (recognizes outstanding participation in Continuing Legal Education). He is a former Outstanding Young Man of America and has received commendations from Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, University of Texas Faculty, and Mental Health and Retardation staff for his legislative work.

Bob served five terms on the NOSSCR Board of Directors and as President of the Fifth Circuit Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (FOSSCR).
