Bob Richardson Lawyers:
Social Security Disability/SSI Attorneys
Austin, Waco, Dallas, Houston, and throughout Texas

Government statistics show that Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income claimants who have lawyers are more likely to recover benefits than are claimants without lawyers.

The U.S. Supreme Court has termed Social Security law to be so complicated as to call it "Byzantine" in its difficulty. And disability regulations are getting tougher all the time.

So, it just makes good sense to have a lawyer represent you on your social security disability/SSI claim. And, you don't have to pay hourly fees up front. The Bob Richardson Law Firm represents claimants on a contingent fee--we only get paid if you get paid.

Bob Richardson Law Firm attorneys representing Social Security Disability claimants are members of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR) and the Fifth Circuit Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (FOSSCR). The Firm's attorneys attend at least 15 hours of Continuing Legal Education courses to keep up with the changing regulations regarding disability law. The disability attorneys and their staff work exclusively on Social Security Disability & Supplemental Security Income cases.

This is a difficult and involved process. To help you understand what is involved in obtaining Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income benefits and how The Bob Richardson Law Firm can assist you in the process, here are the various stages:

Initial Application

If you have not already applied for Social Security Disability/Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits, we will help you with your application.

Request for Reconsideration

Social Security denies the vast majority of initial applications. If you receive an initial denial, we will file all the necessary paperwork requesting that the Social Security Administration reconsider your case.

Request for Hearing

If you should receive a reconsideration denial, then we will file a Request for Hearing to present your case before an Administrative Law Judge.

Appeal to the Appeals Council

If we are unsuccessful in obtaining your benefits at the hearing stage, we will appeal your case to the Appeals Council in Falls Church, Virginia. This appeal may result in either a favorable outcome, another hearing, or a final Appeals Council denial. In the case of another hearing we will continue to represent you until we receive a favorable decision, another hearing or a final Appeals Council denial.

Federal Court Appeal

If the Appeals Council denies your case, we may file suit in Federal Court on your behalf to overturn the Appeals Council decision.
